Getting started with Finanly

Sign in, pick a company, link a first source and watch the close queue fill — in under fifteen minutes.

Finanly is a single web app at app.finanly.ai. Everything you do happens inside a company (a tenant). Business companies have a ledger, cost centers and the close workflow; a Personal company has the planner, baskets and subscriptions instead.

1. Sign in and choose a company

  1. Open app.finanly.ai and sign in with your email and password (or the reset link from Forgot password).
  2. Use the company switcher at the top of the sidebar. Switching reloads the app with that company's tenant context — nothing from another company is ever loaded.
  3. The sidebar you see depends on the company's mode: Business shows Categorization, Tools, Organic Compliance, Parties, Invoicing, Accounting and Reports; Personal shows Transactions, Tools, Planning and Counterparties.

2. Link a first source

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations (also reachable from Link Bank Accounts in the sidebar).
  2. Pick a connector card — Mercury, Wise, PayPal, Shopify, Flexport, ERPNext — and save its credentials, or press Connect with Plaid to open Plaid Link for any supported bank.
  3. Press Sync now. The first sync pulls history; later syncs run nightly and whenever you press the button.

3. Work the close queue

  1. Open Categorization (Business → /business/transactions). Bank cards at the top show bank balance, ledger balance and last sync.
  2. Rows arrive with an AI Match suggestion where the categorizer is confident. Accept in place, or open the row to change vendor, GL account, cost center, split, exclude or record a transfer.
  3. Accepted lines are posting-ready. Export batches send them to the ledger with idempotency keys, so a retry never posts twice.

4. Ask your first question

Open Tools → Business Intelligence and type a question such as “cash across all accounts today”. The answer returns with the semantic plan and the rows behind it. Save it, schedule it, or pin it to a dashboard.
