FAQ

Straight answers

Is my personal data mixed with company data?

No. Personal and business are separate tenants and product modes. Postgres row-level security is forced on every tenant-scoped table, the semantic layer has its own isolation checks, and the services refuse to start with a database role that could bypass RLS.

What is 'safe to spend'?

Your available money after fixed costs and confirmed bills, minus what your baskets still expect this month. The health gauge turns that into a single read; what-if mode lets you test a purchase before you make it.

How does the leak detector work?

Recurring charges are detected from your transactions with source, frequency and stream. The detector flags charges that keep recurring after you've stopped using the service, and the renewal calendar shows what's about to hit.

Which accounts can I connect?

Plaid links most US banks and cards through Plaid Link inside the app; Mercury and Wise connect directly. Balances refresh with the hourly sync or on demand.

Credit cards?

Card feeds sync like bank feeds and transfers to the card are matched so a payment isn't spend twice. Dedicated credit-card accounting rules are on the roadmap.

Does the AI see my personal transactions?

Only the private model on the Finanly host does — the same Finanly 8B finance model that serves business tenants, called through an internal-only gateway with a token bound to your tenant. Nothing goes to a public AI API.

What happens at month end?

A rollover job closes the month: basket balances roll according to your rules and the execution is written to an append-only log, so you can always see how a month ended and why.

Can I use Personal without a business?

Yes. Personal plans are separate from business plans; pick Personal on the pricing page. You can add a company tenant later and switch between them from the same login.

Can I import history?

Connector backfills replay any date range from your bank without duplicating a line. Manual transactions cover anything a feed doesn't carry.
