Link a bank with Plaid

Open Plaid Link from Settings → Integrations, connect an institution, refresh balances on demand.

  1. Open Settings → Integrations and press Connect with Plaid. Finanly requests a link token (POST /v1/connectors/plaid/link-token) and opens Plaid Link in the browser.
  2. Choose your institution and sign in inside Plaid. Finanly never sees your bank password.
  3. Plaid returns a public token; Finanly exchanges it (POST /v1/connectors/plaid/exchange-token) inside the Plaid connector service, which keeps the access token.
  4. Accounts appear on the Categorization page. Press Update All Balances in the sidebar for a fresh balance pull (POST /v1/connectors/plaid/balances-fresh).

Webhooks

Plaid sends transaction webhooks to a per-tenant, per-integration receiver on core-api. The signature is verified before anything happens; a valid event enqueues a sync.

EUR and multi-currency accounts

Accounts in other currencies keep their native currency; base-currency measures for BI and statements use FX Revaluation. See Multi-currency & FX revaluation.
